June Green Medicine Walk (6/10)
Service Description
There is a quiet kind of magic growing all around us— in the spaces we pass every day, along sunlit paths, beneath the shade of old trees, and among the wild places that ask us to slow down and look a little closer. The Green Medicine Walks are an invitation to remember how to see it. Each month, we gather in the evening light to walk the land together and meet the seasonal plant allies of Rhode Island. These are the wild herbs, flowers, trees, and shrubs that have supported generations—often overlooked, yet deeply abundant. Through guided exploration, you'll learn how to identify these plants, understand their traditional medicinal uses, and begin building your own relationship with the natural world. This is not a fast-paced class. It is a grounded, sensory experience—rooted in observation, curiosity, and connection. 🌱 What You'll Experience • Guided identification of 10–12 seasonal medicinal plants • Traditional herbal uses, folklore, and practical applications • Ethical and respectful foraging practices • A deeper understanding of the ecosystems that support these plants • Time to slow down, observe, and reconnect with nature As the landscape shifts from spring into early summer, new plants emerge, flowers begin to open, pollinators become more active, and the medicine of the season reveals itself in new ways. We close each walk with a seasonal herbal sun tea, thoughtfully prepared from plants aligned with the moment—offering a space to gather, reflect, and integrate what we've explored. Each month brings new plants, new lessons, and new experiences. You are welcome to join for a single walk or return throughout the season as the landscape—and your understanding—unfolds. Come as you are. Leave seeing the world a little differently.
